Open or close an index

POST /customer/_close
POST /customer/_open

What it does

Closes the index to reads/writes (freeing resources) or opens it again.

When to use it

To reduce resource usage of rarely used indices or to change certain settings.

Caution

A closed index cannot be queried or written to; while closed it is not accessible except via snapshots.
