Reload the grant tables (FLUSH PRIVILEGES)

FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

What it does

Reloads grant tables such as mysql.user into memory after they have been modified directly.

When to use it

To activate changes made with manual INSERT/UPDATE on the grant tables.

Caution

GRANT/REVOKE/CREATE USER already apply privileges immediately; FLUSH PRIVILEGES after them is unnecessary. It is needed only when you modify the grant tables directly.
