number_format_exception: number_format_exception
ElasticsearchWhat does it mean?
A value that should be numeric could not be converted to a number. An invalid/non-numeric string was supplied where a field or parameter expects a number.
Why does it happen?
Non-numeric text sent to a numeric (integer/long/double) field, an attempt to convert an empty string to a number, a wrong decimal format, or input data incompatible with the mapping.
How to fix it
Send valid numeric values to the field. Validate/transform source data before indexing. Use null for empty values or omit the field. Review the coerce setting and field type in the mapping. Use a period as the decimal separator.
